The 3-point press-on fit check.

A printed size number answers only one small part of the problem. Before glue or tabs, check the tip from above, from the free edge, and from the side.

Width

Does the tip cover nail plate sidewall to sidewall?

PASSCovers the visible nail plate without resting on side skin.
CHECK AGAINNatural nail is exposed, or the artificial edge overlaps skin.

Curve

Does the underside arch match without force?

PASSThe tip rests comfortably; sides do not need squeezing to stay down.
CHECK AGAINSides spring upward, the tip pinches, or the center/edges hover.

Contact

Does the dry tip stay stable when pressed lightly?

PASSNo dramatic rocking or large hollow gap before adhesive.
CHECK AGAINThe tip seesaws, pivots, or lifts at one end as another is pressed.
